Location:
the Giant Mountains are in the North of the Czech Republic, close to the Polish border. The distance from the Giant Mountains to Prague is approx. 100Km
Traffic in CZ:
During winter we recommend winter tyres. Also use headlights (mandatory in Winter). The speedlimits are: urban area: 60km/h, motorways 110km/h and the rest 90km/h.

Animals: for some small animals passports are mandatory. Please check with your vet.
Climate: CZ has a mild land climate. Summer temperatures are between 22 and 30 degrees Celcius. CZ has more sunny days than the UK. Hard winters with temperatuurs below -10 are quite common.Money: We advise to buy Crowns in CZ itself (cheapest). Many banks have cash dispensers.
Kitchen: Food is comparable to Austria, with some additonal local specialities. You can eat very well at very affordable prices. .
